ICYMI: Polka dots are back in a big way

It's been a slow revival, but they’re finally getting the fame they deserve. As the early 2000s make their way back into fashion, long ago is the thought that polka dots are not it.

This fashion week, we saw the bold and simple pattern on the runways of high-end designers and the streets of New York.

From tiny, dainty dots to oversized graphic circles, the print has made its way from clothing to accessories and now: onto our nails. Polka dot nails are the perfect mix of playful and chic, giving you endless room to experiment with colour, size, and placement.

Think minimal black-and-white dots for a classic look, or go full-on Y2K with neon shades and mismatched patterns. You can keep it subtle with a single accent nail, or lean into the nostalgia with every fingertip adorned in spots.

Best of all? You don’t need to be a pro to pull it off. A dotting tool is really just a bobby-pin with a fancy name. Whether you take the trend to the salon or DIY your nails at home, polka dots are no longer just retro- they’re relevant.
